I've been using Internet Explorer all my life, now there's been a sudden growth in the amount of web browsers there are, so I thought to myself "which one is best??" so I thought I'd test them all out. I have been using IE7 for the past 2 years and have got used to that, but the cracks are beginning to show in its performance and page loading speed.
So I'm now currently testing all the other major browsers, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Chrome and IE8 when it comes out.
I'll do them all in that order, and I'll spend a week with each of them, so I can check out all the areas of internet using.

I was very pleased with firefox, pages loaded faster and downloading is slightly easier once you get to grips of it's system. The themes idea is awesome, I'm using the best one then the Newgrounds theme =]. But one thing I do think its lacking is the favourites button, I know the bookmark tab is the same principle, its just not as well laid out, and is sometimes faster just to type an address in. Also something else i realized was there wasn't a new tab button, which was also slightly annoying, but easy to overcome.

I was pleased when i got rid of Safari, i must say how shit it was. First of all it didn't have a proper wizard to import "bookmarks" or home pages or anything, it spell checked EVERYTHING including fucking usernames, and put a nice big red line under it. When you use a text field, it highlights the box in a slivery colour, and don't get me started on page load speed, it was slower than double the time than in firefox. :O There wasn't even a homepage button :O. But as you got to grips with the theme and downfalls, some good things appeared, like when you start to type a web address in, it tryed to guess what it was, and t changed the boring white butons ino silvery round ended ones, but they didn't count for the shoddy proformance. I give Safari a 3/10

Opera wasn't too bad, the interface didn't look too bad, and page load speed was okay, but it does tell you intersting things (to me) like the file size of the page. A good feature of Opera was, if you closed it, and opened it again, it would come up with the last page you were on. If you removed all the temp files though, and loaded it if would come up with a blank screen and you have to open a new tab to reveal it's "speed dial" screen, which contained websites that you saved there, it would have been quicker if it just went straight to the homepage to be honest. Apart from that it wasn't too bad, but it wasn't outstanding. I give Opera a 6/10

Google Chrome, the first looks were absoutely shocking, and so were the final ones. You can't change your homepage even though it imported it, but it doesn't matter if it worked, because there isn't a homepage button, and the bookmarks were imported, but there isn't a bookmark button (exept for on the google chrome homepage) not only this, no ad ons are compatible at the moment, hopefully they will eventully make them compatable. I give google chrome a 5/10

IE 8, i thought would have improved allot since the previous version. I was wrong. The look is bacicly the same, just the page load speed was slower, and there were allot of flaws on some webistes (like negrounds) were the top picture just went, and you can't sign in by just pressing enter. slightly dissapointed tbh. 7/10

After testing them all, i've decided that firefox is by far the best and will be my defult browser from now on.

It's broken and i haven't even had it a year :(

Here's the story...

I was packing for summer camp, and as you do, you take a torch and spare batteries, so i go and find a torch and put in the pile with all my other stuff, and i go back downstairs to get the batteries, and as i do, when i start thinking of all the other things i need to get, the list gets bigger and the need for me to hurry up gets more, so i thought, well, i'll thow the batteries in the room so i can be quicker. i doe it, without looking, and herd a nice loud bang, and the music that my laptop was playing, stopped. so i walked back into the room and saw 2 d cell batteries in the middle of of a hole in my keyboard.

The bright side it's being repaired, they cahrged £100 (about $200) to pick it up, but with all the repairs and labour, it will cost £190.05, wich i thought was cheep, seems the postage was £100.
the news is better, it sould be home sometime this week, i'll update when it does come.

UPDATE:
I got a phone call today, and it was from the people who were fixing it, the said the hardrive would now need to be replaced, bacuse they ran a test on it, and it failed it. They tried to run the drive in another computer, and vista wouldnt load up, it would just sit there and do nothing. So now all my files and stuff are gpoing to be gone :( luckly i backed them all up the day before this happened with bullguard, its about 1.5 gig worth of stuff, so it will take its time to download againg, but it's still there.

Well, it came back on thursday, after a honest man who lives down my street gave it to us, after it being delivered to the wrong address, but its working great, the new hardrive is a little noiser than the last one, but the keyboard is much better. after updating my proformance data, the hardrive got a 5.3, when before it had a 4.9, so they have a done a wrld of good to it, the bace line is my graphics wich is a 3.0 hasn't changed cause it's all the same stuff in there.

So, it's all fixed and back up to what it was before =]

a couple of months ago my dad brought an old motherbord home from a old computer at work, it had a couple of sticks of SD RAM and a processor (oviacely) its a fairly good one, i think, but anything is better than the one i have in my old computer in my room, so i thought id open it and take it out and see what it was, i know its a AMD Athlon, from like 1999, it doesnt even have a GHZ i dont think, so i thought id take it out and swap it for the other one that i have in my other motherboard and see if it done it any better, but the the metal plate over the processor was being a bitch and wouldn't come off, i can push the clip thats holding it on down, but it hasnt got a hinge so it wont come off >:(

i tryed to lever it off with scissors and i broke one of the little componety things off, it still works but its a little lighter on its feet =]

UPDATE: i tryed again and managed to get it off, the other processor doesn't fit in the place, so im going to have a little brouse on ebay and see if they have any on there, does anyone have any suggestions?? it needs to be a old-ish AMD processor, prefurrably with more than 1 GHz and not too expencive, im willing to pay up to about £50 $95 (aprox), cheers

i got a laptop on sunday!! its a medion 96290 it got vista 160gb and 2gb ram, on wich soon i hope 2 b animating!! And ive got a day off school tomorrow cause its staff tainin day. COOL i miss double food, science maths and english!!!

Well the first 4 days back at school, its weird being in yr 9, some new teachers and classrooms some crap and gome good. Got a new maths teacher who is cool and a new subject with a new teacher, and 2 new science teachers, shame all the other maths teachers didnt go cause their all fuckers, apart from the new one hes cool, well anything canged at anyone elses school? I might want 2 know about it.

Well that the end of the summer hols, so back 2 school again with the boring old teachers and lessons, but itll get betta wen i get online wen i get home and look at the worlds animation, away from the crapness. So wot have people bin doin over the hols?
